this summer has already been amazing. on may 6, whitney and i traveled to the crofoot in pontiac to see a couple of our favorite bands. during the ap tour, we got to see the summer set, every avenue, the cab, hey monday and never shout never. while we weren't really big fans of never shout never, it wasn't that bad to sit through them. however, i love the cab and the summer set and they're amazing live! it makes me so excited to go see them both on warped tour -- they are my main reasons for going.

my family and i are finally back in our house after a few months of remodeling and it's weird for us to be back in the house without my father. everyday is a new struggle and i miss him more and more each day. a lot of the time, i wonder what god's plan was for us, to take my father away so early in life, but i guess i will understand this sometime or maybe even never. on saturday i will be doing the american heart and stroke association's walk in memory of my father. it'll be a very difficult and emotional thing to do, but there needs to be more research on the horrible diseases.

while this summer has only began, it won't be long before it becomes one to remember. i'm getting my toms shoes next week and hopefully, i will be getting my tattoo soon after i convince my mother to allow me to get it.
